Optimum spray wax

The only time I ever got streaks was when my towel had too much product on it to buff it in efficiently. Basically, just spread it over the panel with one towel and buff till clear with a second towel and there'll be none. Trying to use a single towel to apply and buff is what my problem was initially.

I had the same problem at times and ended up following the tip from Chris with great success.

If you get streaking, simply mist on the towel (instead of the car) and wipe on and buff off immediately. Work a small section at a time and it will remove streaking. I tend to apply to the towel anyways just to avoid streaking.

Yup, mist the towel. Makes the application much much easier.

Finally had a car today to try out the OCW.

It was a least 70 today and bright full midday sun and I went ahead and used it in the sun with absolutely no problems with streaking or any other problems at all .

It was a silver color so the paint was just warm to the touch and not hot.

I love this stuff so far ! It went so fast and easy and looks fantastic!I am very happy with it so far.:)

Im looking foward to seeing how it goes with darker colored cars.

I used all your guys tips and Chris suggestion with the 2 towel method .

Thanks everyone !:bigups

I put a coat of Opti-Seal on my truck for the winter months and have been maintaining it with OCW after each wash. Impressive results for very little time spent.

As folks have mentioned any sprayer will work but I've found that those that put out a fine mist work a whole lot better.

Where can I find a sprayer that mists? I ordered 6 meguiars ones and almost all of them I wish would mist instead. ughhh

So the spray bottles that come with these are junk?

I purchased Opt spray wax this summer...err I meant to. I accidentally ordered Four Star spray wax. I gave it to my dad and plan on ordering Opt spray wax in the future.

Ive used OCW now for a couple of months on all the cars I detail and Im still loving it!

I had one dark colored car I used OCW in the blazing mid-day sun . Paint was very HOT to the touch and still no streaking or problems.

What Im doing is applying it with one MF towel in one hand and have another dry MF towel in my other hand directly behind it so it never even has a chance to dry or get streaky . I think I can wax a car in 5 minutes now!:D

The best part is I get done with my work early enough now to watch the sunset at the beach !!Thankyou OCW!!!!:yourrock

Good to hear DC. Definately my favorite spray wax and I have nothing but great things to say about it. I am glad you are seeing good results with it also.

Thats great to hear DC. I have considered switching to OCW as my only wax. It's that good. It is usually my choice for customer cars.

On my second gallon,it will streak on a hot black car. I use a thick towel like euro shag spray a quick mist on the towel, then start by a spray per panel, wipe second towel for second wipe. Lasts 3 months on most on my personal car washed with onr I got 4 almost 5 months

Just did a black porche today around Noon in hot sun and no streaks .

The method Im using with the 2 towels flush together ( one with OCW,the other dry)moving in unison seems to be working great! Also I think the fastest possible way possible to apply.

Sal , I heard the thicker MF towels dont work as well and may cause some streaking .I think thats somewhere on this thread.

Almost 5 months for a spray wax is pretty amazing!
