Optimum Opti-Bond users....

Has anyone tried mixing this product with water and using it in a spray bottle? The instructions mention using a compressor with an HVLP gun, but I wondered about the possibility of diluting this product with water and using it in a regular spray bottle, or a bottle used for spraying petro-based tire shines (as they are thicker).

Funny you should mention this, Kaval. I just turned my friend onto detailing, and he order some Opti-Bond. He cut it 2:1, and used it in a spray bottle without any problems. I'm thinking about trying it myself because I'm a big fan of Opti-Bond.

I haven't tried it yet. I like it in it's gel like form. It's easy enough to apply and I'd be afraid to use it cut with water in a mister and have the wind pick it up and toss it onto the paint or have it run.



I think integritydetail uses it with a wagner control spray cut with water.

That's how my friend cut it. Said it worked just fine.
