Optimum no rinse or protect-all

I have purchased Protct-all at a local RV store and am gnerally pleased. Is there an advantage to using ONR. The price for the Protect-all 16oz.was 8.99. It looks like the ONR is 25 to30% more in cost for the same amount.

Is there a clear winner here?

Based upon the posts of members who have used both, Protect All's Quick and Easy Wash is a fine product, it is just that ONR leaves a nicer finish. Give them both a try and see which you like best. I have been tempted to by some QEW just to see how it is for comparison purposes.

Used both (QEW for about 12 years) and ONR is definitely better. Both clean well but ONR is better on glass (less chance of streaks), leaves more gloss and slickness too. The polymers that encapsulate the dirt allowing it to be removed without rinsing also leaves behind some level of protection. You can see it in this video.

After going through 4 gallons of ONR, I purchased my first gallon of QEW at an RV store.

QEW rinses the dirt from the wash media MUCH more effectively than ONR. I cant tell a difference in looks, maybe using a more neglected vehicle I could tell a difference. If QEW doesn't leave anything behind that's a +1.

I don't think Ill be buying ONR again. 1 gallon of QEW = $30, 1 gallon of ONR=$48.

FYI: ONR at Optimum's as well as Autogeek's site is $39. They also have an 8 oz size for only $5.99 for those who just want to give it a try.

$48 vs. $39 vs. $29.99

WOW.. i'm really surpirsed Optimum doesn't control their pricing more. It's never good when there is such a huge disparity in everyday retail pricing. I understand sales to move inventory etc.

$29.99 is DI's SALE price. Normal price across the board for ONR is $39.99. The DI sale ends at the end of this month.

ONR=$48= 39.99 + ~$8.xx S&H (I recognize free shipping can be had, 4 gallons from OPT, >$100 AG, etc.)

QEW= $30 No shipping

OP: Is there a clear winner? Not really, like most products, try and decide.

I agree, we can get all the advice we like, but in the end it comes down to our own taste/budget. I didn't realize you could get the QEW locally and were have the ONR shipped. That $$ makes sense now.

I could get both locally since there is an Optimum distributor in Dallas. Not so sure about QEW though. The RV store I was buying it from is no longer in business.
