:LOLOL I hear ya! I've had customers come out after I've washed their car and they ask "wow, done already?"
 
I just wanted to add here that I've become a true ONR convert.



I had excellent success with it in the spring/summer, so I decided to try my luck with it in the winter - we had ~3weeks of snow/salt/slush/etc.... to start the season off. Cleaned my daily driven g35 (soft black paint) and I couldn't find ~any~ wash induced marring on.



ONR truly is a miracle product; like Scott, I have no idea how I would ever go back to regular washing if I had to. :buffing:
 
A question for Scottwax & others: Do you use two buckets? The last couple of times I have used one bucket, with a grit guard inside. It seems to work okay, but I still keep wondering if I'm putting the paint at risk. Am i being paranoid?

The dirt always drops down to the bottom of the bucket for me, so no worries there. I like to use white waffle weaves for drying so I can see if there is any dirt, but there isn't unless I missed a spot.

Whoever it was, yes, this was my first time using the product. I was going very slowly (this car is my baby, I abuse her at the track, but treat her paint like a princess). So I was probably being overly meticulous. When I go to wash my wife's Fusion, I plan on hammering out the whole thing (in the garage). Then drying, and seeing how that works out.



I read A LOT of material about ONR before considering purchasing it. I mean A LOT. Just b/c as a marketing guy, I know that there are ways you can twist a fact.



I watched a video of it's use and they explain that there is no need for 2 bucket system. Once you wring out your sponge in the ONR solution, the dirt and debris is pushed down/away and you're left with pure washing solution again.



They did recomend a grit gaurd IF you are washing a very dirty car (salt for example) b/c your sponge might hold on to that.



They also highly recomend something "toothy" to wash with. I chose an LC sponge that actually has hex's cut about 1/2" into the sponge which help lift crap up an away from the paint

crap, right after i bought mine last week! what kind of shel flife does this stuff have? i may buy and extra gallon just to keep around, but i probably wouldnt open it until a couple years.
 
Used ONR for the first time this morning as a QD. When I came in from the man cave, my wife said "Oooh! what have you got on today? You smell so good!"
 
Just bought some to try out this winter, anyone have any tips for using it on a heavily salted/dirty car? I will probably only be able to do it once a week.
 
I bought some ONR about a year ago and never really used any of it. Guess I need to give it a try. I'm just used to using the pressure washer, a good wash mitt with lots of soap. I can clean a mid size car bumper to bumper in about 10-15 mins.
 
Wow, I love this stuff!



My truck was clean for the most part, but it had been 4 days since a wash and been driven daily. 2 gallons of water with the ONR, towel for stage 1 drying and waffle weave MF for final dry. Took no more than 20 minutes to do it, and to do it finicky. Works great! Especially on waxed surfaces :D
 
I know; isn't the ONR gloss amazing? It looks great on my metallic grey paint.

I almost feel bad about Megs UQD'ing my paint after ONRing because the ONR gloss alone, is much more pleasing and noticeable.



Now I've almost convinced myself that I should buy a 32oz concentrate of Optimum's Instant Detailer (which makes a gallon of OID!) to use instead of Meg's UQD. :think: One thing I can't figure out definitively though, is if OID actually has protection like UQD does. Or, sadly, if it only is designed to add gloss as the description suggests...

I think it only adds gloss. It is amazing gloss though. If you think ONR is glossy, you really need to try OID. OCW would add protection if that is what you are after. It also looks great.
