Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer Five Stars

funny you mentioned it too,

the missus also said it smells like bubble gum and that reminds us of our childhood days ! yummy !

I am glad I started this thread. For those on the fence on trying some, fall off the side to try it. IMO it is a cut above my favorites 425 and Quickshine. You'll be glad you did. Buy the Conc. bottle to make a gallon! You just might have a new favorite QD !

I think it is as good as what has been my gold standard, Quikshine. :)

Really, cause all I use is QS (with the occasional S&G) due to the zero streaking and it just flat out looks good. After my 4 32oz bottles run out I may give this a shot.

So is the QD better QD than using ONR at 1:21? ONR is by far a better deal unless QD is that much better

I think this product gives a much better shine depth and surface slickness than using ONR as a QD. I still use ONR as my wash and then when I want that extra pop I use this stuff.

I will say one thing, this product IMO has similar (not identical) characteristics to Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer. Anyone else agree or think I'm off base on that?

it's still a month away from good weather here but, i'm still excited to order something like this now. i'm curious to about the results.

I believe FK1 425 is ~$26/gallon + 4.99 shipping

OID $20 gallon + $6-8 shipping + 1.50 gallon of distilled water.

Slightly more challenging than a no brainer, but moderately priced nonetheless.

You bring up a interesting point, but let's crunch the numbers even more.

How are people getting a gallon out of a 32oz concentrate, when the directions say mix 1:3,

1 part mixture/3parts water.. that is only 96oz for $18-20....128oz=gallon.

Someone has to overdilute to get a gallon....

Optimum 32 oz. Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer makes one gallon of an exceptional quick detailer! Dilute 1 part concentrate to 3 parts water. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Mist and wipe to reveal clean, glossy paint instantly!

Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer Quick Detail Spray, opt quick detailer, spray detailer, waterless wash, instant detail spray

3x32=96+32 (of the concentrate)=128

I must withdraw my Kentucky citizenship immediately:laugh:

I changed my mind after using it several times. It does almost blow 425 out of the water. It's good stuff!!!!!

I also don't think it blew 425 out of the water. But it does give a deeper, flake popping glow.

FK425 is twice as expensive.

1 gallon OID concentrate w/ shipping and 10% discount is $50 and change

4 gallon FK425 is $104.02 shipped.

If OID is even equal to FK425 you are saving some serious money that you could spend on a different detailing product. We know this is how we all can justify if to the missus. I saved X amount here so I went ahead and got THIS there.....

Also, anyone care to guess why a 2x 17oz bottles are cheaper than 1x 32 oz bottle?

I really question the shipping charges from DD. Just a little analysis I did....

1 gallon of OID is $11.53 shipping

1 bottle of 32 oz OID is $11.53 shipping

2 bottles of 17 oz OID is $9.16 shipping

So I can ship a gallon for the same price as a quart but I can ship a little over a quart for $2.50 less than a quart.

Not understanding how they get their S&H prices.

For every 1 part of concentrate you need 3 parts water for a total of 4 parts to make the solution. So as previously mention 32oz of concentrate for 96oz of water which equals 128oz or 1 gallon.

Are the 17oz bottles/spray already premixed?
