Optimum Finish Polish

I would think a PC would be better than a rotary for applying Opt. Finish. The Finish polish is not for correcting so a rotary might be overkill. I have used it with my FLEX + a pad with no cut and got excellent results.

Optimum Finish is best used with a finessing/finishing pad with a high speed polisher. I spread the product at 900, work in at 1400, then back down to 900. Doing this really amps the gloss and further cleans the paint in prepping for LSP. I'll be doing a review on this product in the near future so stay tuned.

:hifive:

Did the same.

You guys are making me very happy that I bought OFP. I plan to give it a try this fall. I'll be using a PC, perhaps at higher speeds than I had initially thought.

So...... is that using a rotary or a PC??

What settings would those speeds equate to using a PC?

that would be using a rotary. i would spread and initial work at 3/4 then move to 5/6 and see how that works.

I will say this..

The ONLY time my PC is NOT on speed 6 is when applying a sealant/wax.

Optimum Polishes are good, but it would just take TOO long with the PC to achieve the results you are looking for.
