Optimum Compound, HC, and Polish Break Down Times for PC Application.. Input Needed

I'm using the Optimum linefor the 1st time, what is the amount of time it takes for this product to break down?



Also, how much are you using?



I know speed of PC and pad selection influences this but just tell me what you are doing regarding pad/speed/break down time combos.



Please share....
 
WOW, that is a long work time..



What speed are you breaking it down on?



It was getting late last night when I started correction so I decided to finish today after one panel.. Now I know I was not working it long enough.

Since OP has such a long working time, it's a good idea to use a little amount of polish, so you won't have to be buffing the panel for 3-5 minutes.
 
Use less than you think you need, maybe 3 pea sized drops per section once the pad is primed. Work until it begins to clear out.
 
how much product is needed on the pad to be considered primed? how much would you put on for the first panel you did, before the pad was primed?

I use 4-5 pea sized drops for the first panel, 2-3 after that.
