Ok I just talked to David from Optimum. The Optimum Hyper Compound is now ready because I'm getting cases shipped out tomorrow.

He said you will be able to use it with a PC or rotary. You will get results a lot quicker than before. He said this product is a completely different aninal than the old forumula and works so much better. He emphasized that it has a lot of cut! I can't wait to try it out!

damn i just missed it with my kit from you, owell u still the man Justin!

I topped my OC>OP process with Vanilla Moose just for kicks.

I still can't get over this.

I've used 3M's, IP, DACP, and never netted these results in so little time.

I've been using the OC with my Hitachi, and finishing with OP and the Porter Cable.

I'm currently in the process to see if I can get my boss to allow me to switch the profuct line over.

dont get too antsy dieselmdx . . . OHC is for signifcant defects, give your compound and polish a chance first . . . or you will make the mistake i did once by doing the following:

starting with your most abrasive pad and polish at the same time!!!!

hey scottwax - any clue what the regular 32oz size of OHC is gonna cost? is there a big price jump? just curious . .

Use what you think will get the job done...

If the paint surface is toast then the compound and a cutting pad may fix the issue, if not your going to have to step up to the Hyper Compound. I've had good luck with the Compound with just a polishing pad. Take's 1 or 2 passes but it works.

Once you obviously satisfied with your defect removal polish the surface up to restore the clarity, and depth.

Are you guys finding that OC has a really long work time, especially compared to the polish?

I'm doing my gf's car in stages and so far everything is needing two passes with OC on an Orange LC pad and its still not perfect. Took me 5.5 hours to wash/clay the entire car and hit the trunk and roof with OCx2 OPx1 and the hood OCx1 OPx1. I would probably need a yellow pad and some OHC to get it perfect.

here's the roof..topped with aio :) it gets NXT and AW tomorrow
