Optimum Car Wax Question ?

what can i expect from it compared to a Paste wax, or Liquid ? I know OCW is a polymer and also a wax so it will not bond over a carnauba wax that may already be applied. This means if use Natty's Blue will it bond properly ? How much of it can i use & Would a MF applicator pad or towel work best ?

I plan to use Natty's Blue as my main wax also OCW & 4* UPPS for monthly maintenance( will UPPS & OCW also have any bonding issues ? ) & Adams Q+D for weekly maintenance. :online2lo
 
I recently starting using OCW. I figured it would be a good product to "freshen up" the protection on my car during the winter. I had three layers of Zymol on the car before hand and that didn't seem to affect the bonding at all. I haven't really tested the durability though as I don't use that car much during the winter. However, the smooth finish and shine were very good.

When I use the OCW I just spray it on directly and then buff it off with a MF towel. I think this is the way the directions on the bottle indicate to do it.
 
I have OCW on 2 cars right now, 1 over Nattys and the other over Nattys Blue. So far I have been very pleased with how well OCW is holding up.
 
Nattys is great to touch up cars. I havnt had any issues over the half year I have been using it. I have topped so many combos too. I really like to use it after weekly washes with clients. I will use it every other week and they will get a paste wax every month.

With the UPPS you mentioned I dont think that will go well or bond over a carnauba. Since it is a sealant I dont think it has all the freedom that ocw has as far as topping anything.

Last night after applying a coat of nattys blue to my sisters car I spritzed some over the haze and then buffed off. The look was a touch better and it was much slicker. I dont think that is traditional spitshining but I sure like it!

:confused: So I have to choose either OCW or UPPS *4 ? because UPPS will have bonding issues with a carnauba on top ? If UPPS offers more shine & more protection I will choose upps. but if OCW provides the same thing( which im sure it will because i will do this once every 4-6 weeks ) what do you guys prefer & suggest ? :detective
 
what i was refering to is that upps probably wont work over say nattys. Nattys will work over upps though and ocw will work over upps. But i dont think upps will work over ocw. See what im saying? Sealants over carnaubas dont usually work.
