Can I use the DAS Swirlbuster (orange) pad to apply Optimum GPS?



I ordered the Optimum orange pad but didn't realize I only have a 4.5" backing plate and the pad is 6.5". What is a good backing plate to get to use with the 6.5" pad?

That should be fine assuming you don't have usually soft paint. A 5.5 or 6" backing plate works fine with a 6.5" pad.

You're saying I can use the Swirlbuster pad, correct?



The problem is I have a 4.75" backing plate, not a 5.5". However, the users manual says I can use pads up to 7" with the 4.75" baking plate. So I'm assuming, by virtue of the users manual, I can use the 6.5" Optimum pad with the 4.75" backing plate. Do you agree?
 
Yes you will be fine. there will only be under an inch of overhang on each side. Try to make sure the pad is really well centered, it will make the rotation smoother.
