I posted this in the "what did you do detailing wise today" thread and it caught some attention so here it is.

I first thought of this idea when I saw Robert's post about Preval sprayer w/ a coating. Combine Robert's post with Optimum spray gun and Opti-bond and this is what I came up with.

Ive been searching for the perfect tire dressing/application combo and I think I have found it. My previous attempts at a dressing/applicator combo consist of Hyper Dressing in a spray bottle and pump atomizer. The sprayer was decent but I could never really control the mist so it would get everywhere and the pump atomizer never really put out a good mist, it just kind of threw out a stream/mist. Hyper Dressing itself is great but always washed off through any rain. My current favorite is Blackfire eclipse gel but its kind of a pain to sit there and work the product into your tires (especially if you work on aggressive mud tires). anyways, enough rambling.. here it is in action.

I love the combo so far, it was easy to use. I put 1oz OptiBond:1oz water and ended up using half oz for all 4 tires. The Preval sprayer itself was $5 from Lowes and the descriptions read that it would last 16oz worth of liquid. The refills are $4 from Lowes and amazon even has a "gun" you can connect to the sprayer. As for OptiBond (my first time using it), it had no smell for me when sprayed, and for a 32oz diluted to 1:1 for 64oz of product it is well worth the price so far. I will update it each week to see how it holds up but reviews I have read are positive.

heres a pic using my light set up inside the garage with the doors closed (pitch black besides the light). I'll continue to update the photos like this to have a consistent view/lighting of the dressing.
