Opt. paint prep = Eraser, but cheaper ??

I want to purchase an Inspection wipe down product, have been using Eraser.
Opt. paint prep. is cheaper, is it job specific or versatile.
I also read about paint swelling and unseen long term damage.
I dislike IPA, (smell) and BF has a wipe down product but too much $$.
New vehicles and I don`t want to miss something before my LSP.
Thanks for any opinions

I`ve been using it for quite some time now and I am glad that optimum came out with it as I have been using gloss coat quite a bit. I posted this in another thread I started but optimum clearly states on the bottle that paint prep does not contain surfactants. That is a big plus. I doubt Eraser contains any but there has been discussion before about it leaving something behind. Eraser does smell better than paint prep. I have switched over to optimum paint prep myself.

A gallon of Opt. is 1/2 the price, that`s why I posted. Sounds like they are very much alike. I`ll just try a 17oz. if I like, I`ll get the gal.

Thanks Mike, The Guz ;)

Mary I have both products, Eraser has lasted so long with very little used on each job. I use Eraser for cleaning the paint after polish before sealants or coatings. Optimum works just as good but does smell as good. Eraser really has a nice smell.

I wonder if the nice smell, affects how potent a product it is ??
I just ordered a 17oz of Opt.PP.
Will be comparing the 2, for my Gallon purchase, or in Eraser`s case 1/2 gal.
Filling my cart for a Grand finale order for my Connect end date.

Thanks for your help Wing Commander

I haven`t used Eraser or the Optimum paint prep, but aren`t all precoating paint preps similar? Such as Wolfgang Perfect Finish Paint Prep, which smells very nice. I hear people preaching "synergy", but does it matter really? Clean is clean.
