Opinion about Chemical Guys

I agree CS is very important. Detailed Image is a good source for CG stuff if you want to try it for yourself to decide.
....that's where I source mine. Never had to deal with CG directly.

I've always found it easier and cheaper to order directly from CG. As far as forums go - Autogeek would delete and insert "xx" anytime someone would mention CG, is that cheesy or what? Thank God here at Autopia you can discuss other brands without big brother.

People recommend pakshak a lot, bit which towel is it that people like so much? There's quite a few choices. I like a well absorbing ww for onr first pass, and a plush MF for onr second pass with a mist of qd to get the rest of the water up.

For me its been great service and great products.

New blacklight and V7 awsome shine & wetness I haven't had them long enough to test durability. Exceeded my expectations on looks.

I also like Wet mirror finish a lot. Actually the new QD is nice too Clear seal.

I am glad you liked the Clear Seal. I am surprised it is not more popular as it is an awesome QD.

ive only used their chemicals for the past year, and love them!

sticky gel wheel cleaner

diablo wheel cleaner (kind of expensive though)

bare bones

grime reaper

ezcream glaze

work great in any situation! I also order from Detailedimage.com

I met Paul out at SEMA this past year and he is a great guy who is very knowledgeable. I use several of their chemicals for various things. They have a wide selection and how can someone say the prices are high? They are on the lower end compared to most. Even if prices were "considered" high, there are still certain things that can't be beat from them in terms of quality.

EZ Creme is the stuff hands down. Citrus Wash is top notch. VRT is the best stuff I have EVER used on tires. Black on Black is amazing. E-Zyme is an excellent high end wax. Their new V7 Hybrid spray sealant has crazy durability for what it is. Diablo wheel gel is always safe and very effective as well. Can dilute 3:1 so it's a great value.

I have used black on black and it does work very well for me on my plastic windshield cowl on my DD. It lasts me about a month. I also like their citrus wash car wash formulas. They have had good CS for me too. I want to try out the diablo wheel gel to compare to my p21 wheel gel. They're both pretty expensive though.

yeah diablo at 3:1 comes out to like 25 bucks a gallon and is pretty effective at that ratio still. plus its safe on all wheels and is a cool red color...lol

I had a feeling this thread would turn out spammy.

....spammy? Why? ….because you disagree with others opinions of CG? Folks are discussing their personal experiences with their products (no different than the many other threads on various other products, tools, vendors, techniques, etc.).

This seems to be a reoccurring gripe of yours in these forums. I thought you were wrong when you accused Jesse (Apollo) of doing it a couple of months ago and it certainly doesn’t make any sense in this thread.

Spammy because of the conflict of interest and blatant breaking of the forum rules against it. You've been here since 03 and I'm sure you're well aware that a ton of people have been banned from here for the same exact thing. Many whom which were affiliated with CG. If you have a direct relationship with a product manufacturer or reseller you are not allowed to shill their products. Period! Especially since the rules clearly state you are suppose to identify your relationship in your signature. That's probably why ScottWax, Barry Theal and Todd Helme have it posted in their's instead of trying to hide it like DJ, Eric AND Jesse. Sorry, but I don't have respect for a company or person who does this.

Which posters do you think are shilling for CG due to a "direct relationship"?

I am not affiliated in any way with any manufacturer. Just an enthusiast enjoying detailing :). With that out of the way I will give my feedback on CG.

I have tried EZ, citrus, maxi suds, glossworkz and new look trim gel. My benchmarks are 1Z, fk and sonax on the shampoos, 1Z and 303 on the dressing, no similar product on the EZ.

Overall I consider them decent products. Mid priced. Shampoos on par with most. If I changed my fk favourite 118 it would probably be btbm instead of a CG product.

I am seriously enjoying using the gel. A little goes really a long way and the result on exterior trim is pure rejuvenation. I am on a 15ml sample, but seriously thinking of buying proper size upon checking longevity and weather/washing performance.

Lastly EZ. Bought it based on nothing but good comments and its performance has been very solid. Enhanced slickness and gloss following menz applications.

....how is this thread or the individuals in it breaking the rules? If you have a problem with the thread and/or an individual, PM a moderator. ....simple as that. I doubt it will going anywhere though since I really can't see justification for your whining.

btw, a lot has changed since I joined (if you didn't notice) including management. ....seems you're always the one with the hang up (not everyone else).

EDIT: ...beginning to question your motives (http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-detailing-product-discussion/134575-wolf-body-wrap.html). Why would act interested in a product from a company that you apparently have no respect for?

I didn't make the rules, I just try to respect and follow them. Some people are obviously ignoring them because they feel they can get away with it under this new management. As far as the other thread, that's an obvious text book case of spam. Guy joins site just to post a thread about how great a new product is. Geesh, that's hard to figure out?

Taken from the site rules posted under the FAQ link:

"Spamming, business advertisements, or recommending products that you manufacture resell, or affiliate with is not allowed. If you represent a car care product vendor, please dentify your business in your signature line(phone numbers, email addresses and website URLs are not allowed) "

....again, if you think that other guy is a "plant" and/or feel anyone else in these threads is somehow "spamming", PM a moderator. Being deceitful in your own responses simply because you're suspicious of someones intent is hypocritical IMO (which is exactly what you are doing in the other thread). In either case, I'm still curious as to how you feel this thread can be considered spamming and who you feel has broken the rules. .....leave the moderating to the moderators and let us have our discussions. They will take corrective action if warranted.

Citizen <"//><, Spam Blaster is at it again... Actually I was a bit surprised when I saw the post about my products here because I didn't remember sending products to the States, but then when I saw that he wrote "California" it clicked that I sent some products to a guy named Trevor in Cali. I'm not sure why his first post was about my products, but I can only assume that it's because he's excited to be one of the first in the US to get to use them... I had nothing to do with it. Don't you have anything of value to add to this forum? Irritating people with your whining about spammers/shills is really unnecessary... and it's not YOUR job so leave it to the mods. Oh and please print and laminate this and keep it on your person at all times...
