Open letter to spammers and hackers

Well after deleting a ton of junk mail, spam and bogus forum member sign-ups each day I ask myself "Don't these people have better things to do?"

To all of you spammers and hackers that delight in causing irritation to your fellow man I say "Get a life!"

Learn how to use your talents for good and not evil. You might like it!

This is not an invitation to anyone who has anti-spam software or internet security to contact me, I am just ranting a little.

Ok I'm done.

Ah man! What do I do with my spare time now. lol

We where talking about this at work last week. I just don't understand the point of some of the spam emails I get. They don't even try to sell you stuff, it's just random words.

I worked for a anti-spam company some time back....most all spam is not US based, its coming from sweat shops in other parts of the world, mainly Russia, Asia and the likes of that....there soul purpose is to gain personally info and if 1% of 1% gets threw they have accomplished there mission..as to why someone wants to hack this site would be to get personally bank info...I can concur with you its a hassle that you have to put up with, but spamming and hacking are real hard to track

Yeah I know why a lot of them do it. I get e-mailed multiple links to other sites through the forum feedback program and I would say that those are the most annoying to me. I have heard that the reason they do this is to help the search rankings of the sites being linked in the e-mail. Whatever the reason, it is a crappy thing to do. I miss some valid e-mails of members asking questions because I have to weed through so many bad ones.

Yeah its sad that many things that are invented with the intentions of being used for good always wind up being used equally for evil.
