Open Letter on New Website

I call or e mail or PM my orders. I guess my age is showing!

And if you're not a member or a detailer and can't log on, how do you know what you want or who to call or who to email?

That was the intent of the OP. Easy access, keep it simple, be easy to do business with.

I have had zero issues with the new site :)

However, I don't think its as easy to find products. I like the way the old site navigated and categorized products.

Starting this issue up again after visiting a few other sites and remembering how the previous website was set up......I really don't like how the products and choices are arranged at the new site. Is anyone with me on this? or am I just crazy? I could list a few reasons I have if anyone would listen or cares.

I agree. I liked the navigation better before. Because I know where to find things I can still get there. I don't like having to go through page after page of items to get to what I want. Also missing are the great informative articles and how-tos. New site is fine for pros who know what they are looking for and how to use them, but I think it is less friendly to the novices.

And on the second part of the question, yes. "We all go a little mad sometimes."

Umm, take a look at the bottom of the page...

Thanks for making my point. If I didn't see them there, what is the likelihood a new visitor will find it?:-? They used to be integrated well into the pertinent sections.

Well here is an example of what I don't like.

On the old site (and many current sites of the competition) If you navigate to Exterior Care > Waxes and Sealants, the middle of the screen would populate categories such as, "All in One", "Carnauba Waxes", "Synthetic Sealants". Now on the new site the middle of the page populates with a disorganized list of every different type and size. You have to scroll through pages to find your sealant. I just think products are going to be missed and if things aren't easy to find, sales will be lost. And I noticed by default it organizes by "availability". WTF is that? So I have to look and Wax A first just because they have the most of that item? And why cant I go to a wax type and choose the size within the item description? Instead I have to keep scrolling pages to find it. Another thing is the filters on the left. It's ok to filter by brand, I get that, but why filter by size? I never once thought that I am going to PAC to buy 10 oz of wax. Wasted filter. You get the picture? Overall I just think it is hard to find stuff and products are buried because each type and size have their own link. I saw on a competitor site a link to the new Meg MF kit. Within that item you can choose the polish size, pad size, and select a backing plate. The price adjusts accordingly. Now that is a great set up. All right, I'll stop bitching. I'm just cranky. DC was right, maybe I need a break too.

I like PAC, the products, the people and the forum. I will shop here, because I already know what I am looking for. A newb may not and may miss products on the site.
