Open Box Deal: Metro Master Blaster 8hp Revolution with 30 foot hose

Dear Shawn

Use one motor when two would be too much.

I use two almost all of the time.

But since I got the CR Spotless deionizer, my Blaster time has been cut by 75 percent.

The 30ft hose can be purchased separately directly from Metro, but @ $75 it doesn't seem worth it:

I was pretty shocked when I saw the $75 price tag. I figured it would be around $30.

I've read about people having mixed success using pool hoses as a cheaper alternative:

Leslie's Forge Loop Vacuum Hose in Various Sizes

They sell the 10' extensions for $30 so it was only logical they would sell these at about the given price. After reading reviews of people having split hose issues using cheaper hoses, I had no problem paying the metro price. Any communication I've ever had with metro has been nothing but pleasant, I don't mind spending my money with them.....I mean you already have a $300+ car dryer, what's another $75?

you can find them cheaper than $75 but those places will all charge shipping/tax. From metro to me it was $75 shipped.

I never consider half power. I'm a get it done and move on guy when it comes to getting the car competed.

Faster is always better. If one turbo is good then twin turbos are better.

Do most normally run the master blaster at full power.. Both motors switches on? Or do you actually use it at half power sometimes?

Thanks..JSMF35X..
I was asking because if its two identical motors and the majority run it with both, I hear many trip their breaker.
I would love to see if it can be opened up to access the motor wiring. My idea would be to wire the motors in series and change it to a 240v blower. It would definitely improve when powered on. And no more tripped breakers.

Well, as the person that bought this unit I've been using it extensively in a shop that will trip a circuit when a gnat farts usually and I've had no such problem with this unit and that was a big fear. I will say that it will open up but uses shaded pole motors, so I don't know how much of a rewire you're getting away with.

I use mine with both motors always on a dedicated 20amp circuit and receptacle, 12awg extension cords, and never have problems....

You really want both motors on all the time..

If you were to wire it to 240vac you would also need to get much bigger 240vac wire, etc., including NEMA receptacles..

Hope the machine is designed to take double the voltage...

Bigger wire? Your drawing half the current.
Isn't SJ cord rated 600v.
Each motor would drop 120v ... I'll agree As long as motor windings can handle the higher voltage.

Just thinking if its possible it might be easier than running a 30a circuit as someone had mentioned.
I remember changing my air compressor from 120 to 240v.. It was like night and day difference when it started. But rated to be either voltage.

I needed to upgrade the outlet to 20 amp.
