Oops paint remover?

Is it relatively safe to use to remove paint transfer that was caused by scraping against painted aluminum and painted wood if I'm careful and remove the excess immediately?

Wash and dry the area, get a soft microfiber cloth and use a product like Stoner Tarminator to carefully remove the transfered paint.

Follow up by polishing and waxing the area or apply a paint sealant.

Or use clay or a paint cleaner (both of which have worked well for me).

Seems like there've been a lot of recent posts about using products like Oops and Goof-Off on vehicles, and while some people might have great results with that approach it really gives me the willies. Just imagine if something *does* go wrong, one of those one-in-a-million situations...will knowing that the damage is unusual make you feel better about getting your car repainted?

+1 on clay. I used clay last Saturday to remove some white paint that had transferred from the edge of the garage to the side of my partner's green '91 Montero. It worked like a charm, and this was after it had been there for a long time.
