Ooopss! Wax on the soft top

So, I was giving my s2000 it's annual spring cleaning and I got a little crazy with my PC....cranked the speed up too high and wax went flying everywhere. And everywhere includes the soft top frown.gif. I tried to clean it off as soon as it happened. Evidently, that wasn't soon enough

So, now I've got little specks of white on my black soft top. Not exactly appealing.... So far, I've tried to clean it off with liquid dish soap and a kitcen scrubbing pad. Didn't seem to do anything.....

What other combination of chemicals and scrubbers can I try to get the spots out?? Please help!!

Hi Mike, I have an S2k and get the occasional splash with SSR2.5. The roof is primarily protected with 303 protectant, if I get a splash I use a little 50/50 alcohol/water

Hi Mike,

I own an S2000 as well and ironically my name is Mike as well. Anyway, our top is vinyl. So, if you get a little wax on the top no worries. Just wet the to with water, spray the top with a good vinyl cleaner like 303 Vinyl Cleaner or Ragg Topp cleaner, let it sit for a minute, scrub lightly with a carpet/upholstry brush, then rinse with more water. This should get it all, but if it doesn't repeat the process but scrub a little harder and use an old toothbrush instead of the carpet brush. It's important to use a brush, because our top is a woven vinyl so it has lots of nooks and crannies that only a brush can reach.

Also, if you don't already know about it be sure to check out S2KI.com. :bigups

I would try some good all purpose cleaner and a short stiff bristle brush with some elbow grease. The scrub pad yuo tried probably doesnt have the necessary britsles to get into the top's small pores.
