What do you guys do for wheels? Do you guys just use the ONR as the wheel cleaner or do you use like p21s, let it dwell then use the ONR to wipe off?

and i just picked up my 1st 4 GS'es from lowes.

Along with a sprayer for the truck im doing tomorrow....

What Scott said, unless for some reason the wheels are in certain need for a dedicated cleaner, then do as you suggested.

sounds great thanks guys! And spoiledman was right about the gs's... they feel great and for 1.98 they are PERFECT. Im going to cut 1 in half and use it for wheels.

I always treat the wheels to a dedicated wheel cleaner first. I mist with a sprayer, then mis with wheel cleaner, agitate with brushes, then rinse with NRWS prepp'd for the car, in the sprayer. I have found the wheel cleaners to perform better, for obvious reasons, then the NRWS. Plus with the sprayer, theres no need to worry about polluting the wash water as your not dipping anything, anywhere!

With sealed wheels that have been previously cleaned with a dedicated wheel cleaner, ONR is often sufficient. However, I dont find ONR to work quickly on heavily soiled wheels. If time is a concern, I spray them with P21S, agitate, and rinse with the ONR sprayer.

Additionally, I'm not fond of the Lowes GS, try one from HD and decide. The lowes GS is rough when wet compared to the HD GS. For 1.98 you cant go wrong.

that's been my opposite experience, it seems to get even softer (really soft as is) when wet compared to the HD GS. oh well, everyone's got different opinions and everyone's got to use what works for them... :2thumbs:

a.k.a. Patrick- I'd worry about the wheel cleaner getting places like behind the spokes that I would then miss with the ONR  I'm probably just paranoid, but I do wonder about it. Any thoughts (other than "don't worry about it man!" ;) )

Heh heh, that ONR/sprayer combo you sold me does work well for quikie wheel cleanings :D

I only use a dedicated wheel cleaner when my first application of basic ONR and brushes aren't cutting it. Most of the time however I only encounter tar or other bonded contaminants, so I go immediately from ONR to some Tarminator and then redo with the ONR solution.

Sounds like you bought the wrong one. You need to get the ProLine brand GS in with the cleaning supplies, not the one sold in the tile section.

Exactly. I've been finding them up front by the contractors counter (which is where the cleaning supplies have been in 2 stores I've been to).

Just used my first lowe's gs today. WOW!!!!!!

i just got done washing the ride, and you just gotta love how easily it rinses out (how soft it is too). i had some really dirty lower panels (dirt, tar, tire dressing sling, etc) and it couldn't rinse out any easier...
