ONR is the .........

I use the Eurow towels. They are great. ONR is also great. I also have dabbled with the costco towels and yeah not a fan on using it on paint. For my wheels and interior they are fine though.

reading this thread reminds me I should go wash my car tomorrow. hehe.

grout sponge for ONR for me!

and I use costco towels right out of the bag with no issues...I still have to try out my 530's from autogeek though...

are we talking the yellow costco towels or the blue ones? i use the yellow ones for wheels and jams. just got some of the blue ones their pretty plush and pass the cd test. will be trying them hopeful this weekend weather permitting. the blue ones aren't quit as plush as the eurow ones but are about twice the size.

Just tried ONR for the first time this morning. I got it in the mail yesterday along with a Lake Country grout sponge and a Eurow Sheepskin washmitt and couldn't wait to try out the ONR and sponge. I washed my mobile rig this morning with very nice results. I used two buckets. ONR and LC grout sponge in one bucket, the other bucket was for warm rinse water and MF towel and I used 2 MF towels for drying (Total of only 3 MF towels to rinse and dry my 01 GMC Safari Cargo). I have to say I'm extremely pleased with ONR and will never go without from now on.

i myself am a fan of ONR. i use it for quick washes and as a lube and QD.

if you were in a remote location, how you would use it to clean tires and rinse off pre spotted areas like wheels wells/tires?

I don't have that problem, as I have a Pressure washer and a water tank in my van, but, I see your point. I'm not sure how people would get around this problem.

thanks for chiming in. yeah. just say you have a bottle of distilled water and bottle of ONR in your trunk. ex road trip to car show, and you want to do a wash. but pre treating some tar and bugs...ive wondered how the rest do it...

for wheels and tires use your usual wheel and tire clean then wash (neutralize) it by using onr. i use a dedicated sponge and mf's for wheels and tires.

I did'nt think you had to rinse ONR off the car before drying?

Supe,

How many Eurows do you go through as just the wash media? Do you use one or multiple? I'm guessing it depends on how dirty the vehicle is.

Yup, but always at least two.

For dilution, I have one of those measuring cups that attaches to the top of the bottle, with a pickup tube on it. Then you squeeze the bottle until you get whatever amount you want. For a quart of QD, I use two ounces of ONR. The directions for mixing ONR on the gallon bottle aren't quite correct, as they refer to capfuls from the quart bottle, which has a different cap (hence a different cap capacity) than the gallon ONR bottles.

Thanks dude. I need to order a couple of those measuring bottles from U.S. Plastics as I have the gallons of ONR and pouring a couple of ounces is a pain.

I always use ONR will the microfibers from Sam's. I've never had any trouble out of them. If they were going to give me any problems, I would've seen it already on black paint.

So they changed the ratio for QD from 6ozs. to 8ozs. What about the wash ratio, still 1oz. per 2 gallons??

I think I'll try mixing some ONR to clay lube ratio and see how it works with a Sonus green bar... And I'll follow with the rotary and OP-ll on my mom's pounded black Dakota. Will post some pics.

In remote locations you can use a pump sprayer. I only use this method if it is just dust on the car/truck. Use ONR a detail strength.
