In fact, I have found that the two-bucket method for an ONR wash requires one to use more wash, precisely because I am dunking the sponge into the rinse bucket and then squeezing the water out of it; consequently, when I dip it back into the ONR rinse, it draws out more solution than would be the case if I were just using one bucket. Does that make sense? I have found that I eventually have to dump the ONR bucket and make a fresh batch. Since I usually start with three gallons, that means that I usually use 6 gallons of ONR-water solution.
I do not have the above problem. I may have to start over with a new rinse bucket but one ONR 2 gallon bucket is sufficient for an SUV wash for me.
