ONR as an interior detailer

My two favorite interior detailers that I`ve used have been Meguiar`s Quik Interior Detailer and Gyeon Interior Detailer. I`ve been using ONR lately though and find it to be more economical and works just as well.

Anyone else prefer ONR as an interior detailer compared to true "interior detailer" products?
 
It used to be my favorite interior detailer until I stumbled upon Mr Clean (the floor cleaner stuff). It behaves the same way as a rinseless wash, cuts grease even better and is pennies on the dollar.
 
You know what works great on interior plastic,vinyl, and leather --- Murphy oil soap in the spray bottle. It cleans and leaves a matt finish and is not greasy. Try it and you will be amazed

For some reason I’d think that would attract dust. Thoughts?

Optimum No Rinse Dilution Ratios (water: product)
Rinseless washing- 256:1
Water softener – 256:1
Glass cleaner – 256:1
Clay bar lubricant – 64:1
Quick detailer – 16:1
Drying aid – 16:1
Interior cleaner – 256:1
Before pre-rinsing – 256:1
Engine bay cleaning – 16:1
 
This thread got me to try it. And it did work great I mixed stronger than normal and it left inside with a slight darkness and sheen.
 
I still can`t stand it on glass, but I`ve kinda come around to the idea of using it on interiors since it`s working so well as my household dusting spray. "Coming around", but still using Interior QDs instead, but hey that`s just me.

But does it FOAM when you fill a bucket with water that has it in there?
 
I have even used carpro`s ech20 cut 5%/vol. It works fine. And if your a sucker for nice smelling products i love the smell.

You guys forgot Woolite--when I joined here in 2004 that was the interior cleaner hack, and since Scottwax used it, so did everyone else. That being said, I have started using ONR for a lot of things, mostly around the house, like Accumulator. I started to try to use up my old versions so I could get to use the newest version, but I`ve found I like it for general wipedowns and wouldn`t hesitate to use it that way in the car, not sure if I have, because I usually grab my Meg`s QID.

I used to use woolite based on Scott`s tips. It was also in some Lexus manuals IIRC. What I love about Mr Clean is it is a beast on greasy stuff and old crusted on stuff. It seems quite a bit stronger than ONR for nasty stuff. Yet you can clean windows with it and not leave a film. The smell is the biggest downside to me, I just don`t like the yellow colored one. The green is less offensive. Murphys oil soap is decent too but not as strong on grime. And it smells like a citronella candle.

Also, take my Autopia card away, but I`ve washed cars with Mr Clean. Works great on greasy engine bays.

We`re past that, aren`t we? Taking people`s Autopia cards away? Whatever you want to wash with is ok with me. Of course I may only be saying that because I never got my Autopia card in the first place. I do have my Flavor of the Month trophy.
 
Don`t laugh, but as long as we are talking using household cleaners for detailing, I`ve used Tide Powder Laundry Soap as a car wash soap. Great on dirt, rinsed well, but man, is it hard on the hands. Chap city.
When I was much younger (in the late `60`s, early `70`s), powder car wash soap was more common. But then so was tri-sodium phosphate (TSP).
By the way,Woolite is a good coated leather cleaner in pinch, but I would prefer a dedicated automotive leather cleaner.
Back to ONR as an interior cleaner, quick-detailer...
