One step combo

I like XMT360 also. But I find myself using that more with marine work and less with cars. Does offer some correction though.

if doing 1 step of polishing followed by a dedicated LSP I usually choose M205 or SSR2. Pad choice kinda depends on the paint. Choice in polish kinda depends on the conditions

What is the "cure" time for the poorboys to apply an LSP?
 
Usually my one step polish is the old Menz Powerfinish on a tangerine HT pad. I have had good luck with Poli Seal on the OPT MF polishing pads as well topped with OCW if you are looking for a speedy process.
 
Meguiar's M105, particular using this method : http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums...nishing-meguiars-m105-ultra-cut-compound.html can be a very effective 1 step that offers extreme correction. On soft black (or darker colored) paints you may have some micro-haze.

Megiuar's M86 (So1o Cut) is another great polish for this, and when used in the method described above creates a very nice finish.

Menzerna PowerFinish is another keeper in this category.

There will always be some trade off between outright cutting power and finishing ability, but when we are talking about 1 steps we are usually talking about a trade off anyways. I recentley used M105 followed by BLACKFIRE Total Polish N Seal (which was wiped off using BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Polymer Spray for more 'boost) and it was a great time saver that left a soft black BMW M3 looking flawless.
