Those that know me, know that I'm involved in hobbyist gun-smithing, shooting and firearms collecting. I stumbled across this and found it to be a bit amusing. I thought I'd share and hoped a few others got a smile out of it.

Some statistics about Doctors:

A. The number of physician the U.S. is 700,000.
B. Accidental deaths caused by physicians is 120,000.
C. Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Some statistics about guns:

A. The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000 (yes that's
eighty million!)
B. Accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
C. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .0001888

Now Think about this...

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN,
BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.
We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand! :D

That's interesting... But it's accidental deaths. How many aren't accidental?

I saw this movie with Jessica Alba where she plots to have her rich husband killed during an operation and it was supposed to be made to look like an accident

Sure the accidental shootings are tragic but certainly the purposeful violence with guns is out of control. Usually doctors don't go around killing on purpose. That stat would be 9,000 times in favor of the doctor if you looked at the other point of view.

We did however have a doctor in phx have 3 patients die during lipo surgery. He got 25 years in prison for acting recklessly.

I fully agree. Gun violence is very high and on the rise. The comment about the movie was just an afterthought. My original comment was focused toward purposeful gun violence. I should have been more clear when I went back and edited.
 
Taking away guns wont stop people from getting killed. Just means they will be stabbed or killed with something even worse. Id rather be shot than stabbed any day.

For those of you who watch what you eat

Here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical studies:

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans, British or Canadians.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans, British or Canadians.

3. The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans, British or Canadians.

4. The Italians drink large amounts of red wine and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans, British or Canadians.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans, British or Canadians.

6. Ukrainians drink a lot of vodka, eat a lot of pirogues, cabbage rolls and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans, British or Canadians.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Arizona passed a law that states if you are not a felon you may carry a concealed weapon without a permit.:rockon
 
a concealed carry is a lot easier than carrying around a police officer. how many times could one decent person with a concealed carry, have stopped or reduced untold acts of violence. it's definitely the great equalizer.

Not just that, but most of the violent gun crimes are done with unregistered and illegal guns.
 
I try to stay away from doctors and guns! :D

Personally I carry hot pepper spray with me !I would rather not to kill anyone if I dont have to!:bigups
 
Gun violence is highest in areas with the most restrictions on guns. Gun violence is lowest in areas where restrictions are least. There has never been a city or state or town where gun violence has gone up after the lifting of gun restrictions.

There is only one Right as a US citizen more important than my right to carry a firearm. That is my Right to Tell you that I have a right to carry a firearm.
