One less Product?

I think I found the way to have one less product in my arsenal. Let me know what you think!

We went camping and with 3 boys in the Quest + with the rather smoky fire we had, the interior of the van needed a good cleaning upon our return. I took out the center seats and used the shop vac. I grabbed my spray bottle of DP Total Interior Cleaner and started to clean carpet and plastic. The bottle was very low and didn't last long. I still needed more cleaner so I went for my Poorboy's World APC mixed 50/50.

I think the DP Interior cleaner is an excellent product :bigups and works great, but I think the PB APC worked well too :inspector:. So now I'm thinking I won't rebuy the DP product.

I followed up with PB Natural look on the plastic bits and used Fabreeze on the cloth seats. Storners IG on the glass.

After scrubbing, protecting, vacuuming, and fabreezing I was looking at a clean inside. Well, there was still time in the day so I went ahead and washed the exterior with CG Extreme Bodywash shampoo. I noticed that the water had little to no beading so I guess my last coat of DP Sealant was wearing off. Not surprising since that was a while back. I decided to try the sample of 1Z Einszett Polish Wax someone sent me. I applied by hand and it was real easy to put on and take off. It left a very nice finish and it truly is a cleaner wax as the applicator pad was dirty when I finished!

It was a busy Sunday for me as before I cleaned the car I cleaned up all the camping gear, organized it and stowed it in the attic. Man was I knackered after all that work! :passout:

I think Steve mentioned that you could spray a little Natural Look around to act as an air freshener, as well as fire some into the vents to kill some bacteria or germs as well as freshen the air when you turned on the vents, so if this worked for you you could do away with the Febreeze also.

That's an idea. The Fabreeze seemed to work well on the cloth seats. I've seen a Fabreeze for sale that is packages for automobile use, but somehow I think it is just the "packaging" that is different!

Plus one on this...you can spray a small amount under the seats...and a misting of it into the AC vents...it makes the whole car smell great
