I just tried Duragloss 105 wax on my truck and it is awesome but I decided to try their fast clean & shine.
The truck was clean but I wanted to see how this stuff worked.
You can feel that it is slick lot of lubricity to it but it ramped up the shine tremendously. I could not believe it.
THANKS AL-53 for putting me onto this product line.
Duragloss has some awesome products.
Anyone who has not tried the Duragloss line of products is really missing out on a good thing.
I have a big car show coming up next weekend I think i will put this stuff on my Corvette show car.
I see another big trophy in my future.

Bart..if you think the Fast Clean and Shine WOW's you..try the Aquawax....it is a whole new level....FC&S is like a QD for light surface cleaning and has some AW in it...the AW has no cleaners and is a pure WET DEEP Gloss and slicker than you ever felt....

Joe you are in for a really treat these products are incredible.
AL I have not used the auqawax yet because Bill cautioned me about not building up too much wax and run into smearing problems.
I think I will add the AW after a couple of months.
I was at my local carquest today and they had the 111 wax for $ 7:49 that is less than the shipping cost on other products.
Man I'm one happy camper awesome shine has depth and durability that will outlast anything else and all for the price of a big-mac & fries.. :D :thanks

I was told once or twice a month would be fine. When you use it dont spray to much on , a light mist is all you need.

Bart ..I do not think you will get streaking....I used it weekly when I had the 111 on on the truck...and it never streaked once...just use it on a dry car..not a wet car....like a wax as u dry product....

you should be fine with useing on a fresh application of 105....I have 3 coats of 105 and used AW twice so far and not a streak at all...a little goes a long way..

OK thanks AL. Today when I was at the carquest some guy came in the store and ask who owns that Black Ranger out front. I thought OH NO he backed into my truck but when I said I owned it he said man that truck looks awesome what did you put on it. :hail

Funny that you like the look of Duragloss but not Zaino when they offer a similar appearance.
Yea right just like Frank says he can't see any difference between Souveran and Zaino L.O.L. I wonder when was the last time he had his eyes checked.
You say similar since you don't say they are the same I take that to mean that you think their is a difference.
One could say that a man and a women are similar with only a small difference but HOORAY for that little difference.
If you like I can list a lot of differences.
We could start that I read nearly daily about people having problems with zaino streaking and it is alway that you put it on too thick or the humidity was too high or the temperature was not right. No one has every admitted that it is not user friendly and hard to apply and remove without streaking.
When I put on the Duragloss I deliberately put it thick on one panel just to see what would happen it wiped off with no problem
Personaly I think that I would use nearly any product other than Zaino.
I have stated before I don't like the lack of depth
Face it Zane their are some that you just will never convert to Zaino no matter how hard you try and I'm one of them.

I might be wrong here Black Bart but I think Zaneo was being sarcastic when he said they looked similar. I'm not even sure Zaneo has used Duragloss. Many who have are saying that the two products are similar looking so I take it as Zaneo is asking how you can like the look of Duragloss and not Zaino when they are very similar looking according to others.

I would ask how any one can like the look of Zaino when it is supposed to be optically perfect in which case it would be perfectly clear and have no look?

Everyone has a right to choose the product that works best for them. I think that choice is great.

But I also think that it is plain closed mindedness to choose to not use a product since someone had a problem with it. I read the forums everyday. I do not read everyday that someone had a problem with Zaino, Duragloss, Poorboy's or what ever product that you want to choose.

I choose my products from recommendations from forum members. Then I use them and decide if they are for me. I do not believe that I have discounted or bad mouthed any product with out personal experience.

I think that ZaneO is as smooth with words as he is with his details. Wish I could say the same. Unfortunately I am blunt. Hence my motto under my signature.

Obliviously you have not hung out on the corvette forum
I have spent the last 5 years their reading daily the hype about Zaino and also reading about the problems that people had who used it.
I choose not to use it I believe that is my right.
Sorry if that offends you.

I do not believe that you are sorry and I certainly am not offended.

Just because you read something it on the corvette forum makes it so....??

I am not talking about which is best. Sometimes best is not going with the program. Sometimes you want easy. Sometimes you want durability. Sometimes you want shine. Sometimes you want economy.

With out experience of a product that you make disparaging remarks upon leaves you in an area of heresay with out foundation.

I have gone off topic of this DuraGloss thread. I will cease my ranting of what I consider reasonable and unreasonable.

I sincerely do wish you well in your next big car show.

This is exactly right. I haven't used the Duragloss sealant, but I understand it has an appearance quite similar to Zaino.

I'm not trying to convert anyone to use anything - as I've mentioned, my Camaro is wearing RMG/Souveran/Aqua Wax right now and looks awesome. I just found your statement amusing.

Would the #111 or #105 look better (deepr/wetter) on a Dk Blue Honda CR-V?

I'm thinking of using the following:

PB SSR2.5
PB SSR1
DG 105 or 111 x 2
DG AW

TIA, Jim.

The 105 will look better..much wetter looking...

Do your polishing with PB's..then wipe down the paint...use Fast Clean and Shine..by doing this you will get off any oils and residue...and also lay down some sealant that is in FC&S..this will make a nice base for it...then do a 105 application...let haze 30 minutes..wipe off...

you can use AW if no FC&S...or PB S&W then AW....

next application..before doing the 105..spray on some Aquawax or FC&S..wipe down...then apply 105 as before...

reason I am saying to apply AW or FC&S before the 105..is last week I polished my buddies truck and wiped it down with FC&S and did the 105...he did 2 more coats in a weeks time..but applied AW between coats and it looked grand.. looked Awesome.....I never did that before ..but will next time...

It is sorta like doing z-6 or z-8 with zaino...his paint looks a mile deep...and so wet ...wish I did it now..lol....

so to answer your Question..the 105 is a better look.....apply by hand..do a lite spritz of AW on the pad ..will make it spread for ever..just a lite spritz..do not soak...like a 1/4 pill on the trigger or less....lol....

hope this helps

Al

Hey AL this past weekend I drove the vette 70 miles to a show and after I got their I cleaned it with FC&S. I used it over the PS that was on it.
Like I posted in the title this stuff is incredible. How did I do well won an award in a Field of about 400 cars also won peoples choice award.
I bought a bottle of it to start with but after I used it I ordered a gallon. I will be using a lot of this stuff it really works. Only problem I have had is in direct sun you need to apply about two square feet at a time and wipe it right away or the sun will dry it and then it is harder to remove. The good news is you can use it in direct sun just don't try to do a large area before wiping it off.

Good to hear you won a Award....yes the FC&S is nice stuff....I just ordered 2 more gallons...I have plenty of AW...I have been using FC&S around the house also..lol...on windows..furniture...appliances...does a nice job...I tried to get a forum discount..but they seem to beat arond the bush answering...so I gave up asking...cheap enough..but now ordering gallons a little discount would help...

I cleaned a massive bird bomb the other day with FC&S...looked like a condor sh!t on my truck...had to be a seagull...I sprayed it..let it sit a second or 2 and wiped it off...nice...

Again..Congrats on the Award..

Al
