Old tricks - good and bad

Here's one from the 50's that I bet few have heard of. Wiping down old cars that have faded single stage paint with kerosene to restore shine and hide oxidation.

I've heard a lot about that and using cooking oils.

Using "Wisk" laundry detergent as a quick wash and wax. Apparently the oils create a nice finish.

White sharpie markers to touch up white wall tires. ( the motorcycle I saw it on looked pretty good to. Wasn't obvious )
