There ya go, I'll start.... hope it doesn't keep anyone up all night. Howzcome there are 10 hot dogs in a pack but only 8 buns? You've got to eat 40 of 'em to get even! And if you drop one in the grill you're royally screwed!

TL <--- still wondering why towel dispensors in restrooms are mounted so high that water always heads for your armpits

I do not have any specific idea yet but I guess there are several types of giveaways.

1. random - may require posting something like a pic

2. earned specific action - the person does something compared to others and rewarded (like the recent Kahuna contest)

3. unsolicited - when select members are sent products unsolicited for reviews (commercial side) like the recent BF launch

I think giveaways that are earned under some reasonable competition (like the Kahuna) where most anyone can participate are the best for the long term aspects of the forum (and the goal is to improve store sales).

I had mentioned earlier that the more people that are rewarded the better for the forum. I think prizes as samples would be as important as full products but I realize the samples can be almost as expensive as full products due to special handling involved. The cost to ship is the same. I think more giveaways with smaller prizes best does this.

For example, samples could be in these groups: interior clean and protect, exterior wash (soap, rinseless, apc), wheels (apc, dressings, etc), polish, rinseless kit, waterless kit, or maybe just choose any 3, etc.

How about a photo contest. Post your best car photo and let everyone vote on the one they like the best. I could be just like a car show with 1st 2nd and 3rd.

I always like contests that require creativity, and the people that come up with really unique or funny entries.

How about make a movie trailer for the new BlackFire line

But seriously, something that is open enough to allow for different types of submissions, such as find a creative way to promote a BF product, or use a BF product to tell a story. Make a contest that requires using a specific product or tool and let people go wild.
