Guys I;am usking a makita, and I'am in the process of buying pads. (LC)



I will be purchasing meguiars maroon wool pad



I'am however stumped on what size foam pads to buy, as I will need to do some tight areas.



I'am thinking about the 6.5 pads, but what size backing plate would I need?

So can one say a general rule would be the backing plate should be a 1/2 in smaller than the pad?
