oh, the joy!

well my car has been garageless for about the last 9 months. at first i had my car keyed, then i had a body shop do a bad job and cover most of the back end of my camaro with clear coat overspray. then the cats got on my car and scratched it. not to mention the entire 9 months a sprinkler was spraying on my car every night and water staining the front bumper, and then we can't forget the car cover that scratched the entire side of my paint after i got it repainted.

alright, so to a used-to-be cartopian, these 9 months were dreadful. i contemplated selling my car at one point i was so pissed off and knew there was nothing i could do to fix the problems.

so i eventually got my own garage when i moved out of that old apartment complex and just got done with a polishing frenzy this weekend. first i used meguiar's 83 to take out the clear coat overspray, then i went over the whole car with a light tropicare polisher. i used that a little bit extra on the cat scratches and got most of them out, almost completely unnoticeable. then i went over the car with a layer of nxt followed two days later by a coat of meguiar's 16. well it looks and feels SO much better now! i cleaned under the hood and everything, and now i actually feel as if i have my old car back!

since i have two cars and i drive the other one on a daily basis, i imagine the camaro will not need wax for about another year, lol. it will spend most of the time in the garage except for the nice sunny spring days when i'll take it for a spin. and i imagine the t-tops will permanently stay off now, too. i love it! i'll post pics the next time i take it out :)
