Hello everyone,

I've been lurking this forum for a little while, and I guess it was about time joined.

I'm only 17 years old, and quite anal when it comes to how my car's appearence is. I've learned quite a bit about detailing from reading posts and such.

My Ride is a 2006 Acura RSX Base model. I'm happy with it.

Hope to learn and share lots about detailing here!

o.o; I never said that my parents bought me my RSX you know.

I've been working since I was 13 just so I could buy a new car one day; no joke. My parents bought me a 05 Honda Civic last year but ended up selling it for money reasons...

Congrats! I started working when I was 14. I worked for a friend's dad's concrete company. I did mostly breakout and some very minor finish work. I have been working ever since.

Who said the guys parents bought it?

With the labor laws at 13 and how much you can work, and what someone from 13-17 gets paid it was merely an assumption. Unless he has a loan of course, then anything is possible. Oh well, anyways...Enjoy the forum, post some pics if you get a chance!

Oh...by the way I've been working since I was 15 and have made good money from the get go...with car payments, cell phone, insurance, gas I just find it hard to believe you can afford a car like that and go to school..Just opinions of course.

Heh.. well my parents do pay the insurance which is killer for this kind of car, and I don't have any other bills (no cell phone or anything...) I work six days a week full time and go to school part time.. trust me it's possible... barely.

I shall post some pictures soon. I haven't taken any recent one's of the car though.

And oh, I do have a loan of course btw.

Exactly what i was thinkin. I mean if we broke it down i doubt he makes enough to afford it. Even if he put down $10K he would still me makin payments close to $250 a month plus insurance which would be more than $250 a month for full coverage at his age. Then add in gas and money to just be a teenager makes it hard to believe. Plus under the age of 18 you can only work 18 hours a week. Ive been around awhile and i have yet to meet a person under the age of 25 who has bought a brand new car.

I agree completely...I think we have just seen it all to often Coupe with people are age having stuff like this and you know exactly where it comes from...It's impossible to afford a purchase like that. I work 35+ hours a week and go to school full-time. Just want you to know Im not making a big deal out of this cuz Im jealous...cuz Im not. Im perfectly fine with my $10k car and paying all my bills myself.

--The truth comes out, your dads business :chuckle: funny how everyone who works for their dad has a sweet car.

18 hours? No that's only if you're under 16. I work 35 hours a week. I worked way more than 18 hours at my dad's private business anyway. =P
