Nice choice, i'm sure you'll be very happy :bigups

One suggestion for you is to go to a Target or likewise and get some rechargeable batteries. I picked up 4 Energizer 2500mah rechargeable batteries/portable charger kit for only $20 at Target, and those batteries last a LONG time.

If you got a lot of free time or your an online junkie like me you can visit s5000.net

Its a forum based soley on the S5100/S5500 and is quite informative.

Another interesting place for quality batteries and chargers is Thomas Distributing.

All batteries and chargers are not alike.

I can whole-heartedly endorse the MAHA POWEREX 2500's and the Energizer 2500 batteries. I use them daily and they are really long lasting.

The MAHA MH-C204W AA/AAA Charger is also my pick in the fast class of chargers. It does 2 or 4 cells at once and can top off or fully condition the cells. It can run on 100~240V 50/60 Hz, so if you travel this is the one. It can also jolt old batteries back to life.

I also like my Lenmar Pro66 charger as it does 1,2,3 or 4 cells at a time and it includes a car adapter cord. This charger will charge 4 cells in an about an hour but has no recondition ability.

There are a lot of brands out there in batteries and chargers and many of them are shabby so buyer beware.

Yeah, I absolutely love the Panasonic cameras! Specifically the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5.

So good for the money. I am getting one soon :).

If money is of no concern but you dont want a DSLR then the Panasonic DMC FZ20 or FZ30 are the very best hands down. I have my FZ20 for sale because I want to make the switch to a DSLR.

Just do a search for it and look at the reviews. I want $500 for everything and this includes the camera, case, 1gig 60X high speed memory card, charger, all cables that cam with the camera, the box and manuals, Phayee lens adaptor, hoya pro UV filter, Hoya pro polorizer.
