I have a new 2013 Honda accord and was cleaning my dashboard with Poorboy’s World Natural Look Dressing, great product by the way, I used it with a microfiber. I was cleaning near the plexiglass in front of the tachometer and must of rubbed up against the plexiglass. I guess it got on the glass and left a residue which was not noticeable at first, then the next day I noticed what happened. I did not use anything else to clean that area besides the Poorboy's product so I don't believe anything else could of caused this to happen. I tried cleaning with invisible glass and diluted vinegar with no luck. Below are the pictures of what happened::(

Any recommendations of what I can do? I really don't want to screw this up anymore than what I did already.

I cant see dressing doing that, especially a high quality one such as Poorboys. Call Steve and see what he says, but I really think something else played a roll in this. Thats like damage from a strong APC or degreaser or something. What are the chances of something splashing on it while you were working on a different area?

I suppose another type of cleaner got on the mf towel, but honestly I'm very careful of keeping the towels separate. That's the only reason I though it could be Poorboys. I think describing this to anyone from Poorboys is difficult, I think e-mailing them the picture would be more helpful to them. I have to see if I can find their e-mail. Thanks for replying.

It wouldn't have been an APC residue that caused that. It had to be a strong solution. Not sure what happened. Maybe it was there at purchase and the cleanliness surrounding it enhanced it. ;)

looks to me like either solvent or glue type residue

nothing to do with the natural look

IMHO of course

I guess it could of been there, (I never noticed it) and cleaning it with glass cleaner enhanced it. How about using something like Meg's plast x , do you think it might work or damage it even more? I understand all this is speculative.

wow. agree. something else going on there. a dressing would not have caused that. looks like a very strong solvent of some kind? plexus or plastx MIGHT help. i am wondering if was there from the get go?

Car is about 4 months old. I emailed poorboys with the pics, just to see if they have any ideas. As I stated I never noticed it before just a day or so after using the poorboys, unless invisible glass plus poorboys did something together.

How does it feel to the touch? Is the affected area rough or smooth?

Is it possible the damage is on the inside?

It does look like solvent stain or glue residue. I am not sure how Poorboy's could cause that problem.

:exactly:

Hope this poster updates us....I've been thinking about this thread allllll weekend!!!! That stain would drive me crazy!!!!!!

:swirly:

I had a lexus clock I accidently had a Little too much dressing when I dresses around it it leaked up into the back side of the clock and made a similar mark.

Didnt think too much of it since it was very very small but the customer called a gew months later and said her clock was a mess after I detailed it and the spot kept growing.

I hope thats not what it is!!
