Officers down in Dallas

The way that guy took that cop down, he`s got to have some pretty solid training to do a rush move like that. It honestly would not surprise me if this was done to raise tensions between both affected parties,or even to be used as another excuse to go after law-abiding citizen`s guns, rather than someone just giving them "payback" .

All these Twitter warriors are just that, cowards hiding behind a keyboard..... if something goes down around them the first thing they`ll do is run and yell "call the police".

The whole terrible thing is no surprise to me whatsoever, if anything I figured such a tragedy was only a matter of time what with the way LE is being demonized by so many people.

Bad people train just as good people do and some of them are indeed highly skilled.

First i want to send prayers to all the families of the killed or wounded officers and bystanders involved.

It is really sad to see where our society is at this time with extremism flowing from almost every corner of the United States as well as many parts of the world.

Having lived through the 60`s and seeing all the riots and damage from Watts to Kent State & Attica, you would think we all would have learned and grown from those events.

Now in place of broken windows and burned police cars, American extremest , yes I said it, they are home grown and you can put any hyphenation in front of ___ -American

because instead of fixing problems we as a nation throw money at it and hope that the people getting the money know what they are doing ... not too likely!!!

It seems that we are at a cross roads in our history and we don`t seem to have any leaders to work out the problems without a race or economic war ...

Let`s all pray for the violence to stop .. :(

My condolences to all the families of the killed / wounded officers involved.

It`s terrible and tragic, worst of all I`ve used this as an example of what will happen before it occurred... I`m not on "a side" but my position still stands "guns aren`t for self-defense" and that owning a gun with the intent to use on another human being should be prohibited.

I`m deeply saddened and I hope some real legislative change comes about eventually but at this point, I think it will take a cultural revolution for everyone to get on the same page. Please take a step back to look at how other countries have addressed gun control and mass shootings like these with good legislation.

I`m not saying ban guns and bullets but maybe something more like what Canada has (everyone still can own guns and bullets) but with reasonable limits for the safety of the public and law enforcement at large.

Although it is somewhat cliche to say, seeing these things on tv is one thing, but when they happen in your backyard...it`s truly shocking. We in Dallas are strong and will get through this, but the real problem is cultural extremism and gun violence

Nazi Germany for instance? I guess that would be foolish to think something like that couldn`t happen again.

I can`t help but smile when people set Canada up as a standard for the USA. They know whose broad shoulder`s to stand upon when the water is deep.

I always thought Toronto was a clean city, we can learn something there.

We have some fundamental cultural issues and polarization is not helping when people have double standards.
