Officers down in Dallas

It is quite possible that these shootings were planned in an unrelated way from the protests, but were adapted for the protests. The shots rang out at 8:58 at the exact time when the peaceful protesters were going home. At least one officer was seen shot while using his body as a shield protecting a BLM protester.
Another officer has been confirmed dead, totaling 4
 
1 suspect in custody after shootout with police. Falsely reported suspect turned himself in, likely out of fear of being targeted as legitimate suspect
 
As a teenager from DFW watching his twitter feed explode with stupid, immature teen`s opinions it is really frustrating that there are `sides` to this debacle and teens, regardless of if they realize it or not pick the extreme that is more in line with their feelings or opinions to stand out by being in line with others, if that makes sense. They want to put their 2 cents out in an extreme way to feel a part of a raging debate while in fact only exacerbating the root issue of extremity, and adding fuel to the fire of debate. So sad to see my peers and even friends jumping on these bandwagons instead of buckling down and solving problems with a mature and rational mind.
 
Police chief:
Officers negotiating with a suspect over the last 45min but is being uncooperative. Suspect claims "end is coming" and that he "is going to take more" law enforcement officers with him. He claims there are bombs planted all over the parking garage he is in as well as all over downtown Dallas. Out of 4 officers dead, 3 are DPD, 1 is DART

These people are part of what`s wrong with this country. They let <1% of officers actions dictate their feelings about the whole police force. These same people cry about being discriminated against, when that`s exactly what they`re doing. I`m sure that most of those people commenting who are against police have never actually had a bad personal interaction, they just jump on the bandwagon. It`s ignorance at its finest and events like these will show peoples true colors unfortunately.

Very sad and cowardly to do what these guys did..
