Yes, we are off to Macungie, PA for the the yearly Das Awkschtfest car show 45th Das Awkscht Fescht - August 1st, 2nd & 3rd - 2008
Pockets and I will be arriving Friday with Freddie (69GTOJudge) arriving Sat. unfortunately due Holland_Patricks knee problems, he will not be joining us this year. This year's feature car is the DeSoto ..haven't seen a whole lot of them, so it should be interesting.
Anyone in the area please stop in and say hi or come by at lunch time for a burger or hotdog

We'll have the entire line with us plus:

**New T-Shirts**
**Limited Edition Natty's Red**
**Air Fresheners**
*** NEW DMMT's (16x27) in Coral ***

...and a few samples of new products that are in the testing stage :wow:

We will also have some SHOW SPECIALS :inspector:

and we'll have free tickets to the Wheels of Time Street Rod Show at the end of the month in Macungie :bigups

Hope to see some of you there :howdy

Macungie, PA!? I grew up an hour and a half north of there and went to Penn State, but never heard of Macungie. :hmmm:

They should give you the key to the city, Steve! You've put Macungie on the map.

We are back from Macungie and we had a great time except for one brief thunderstorm on Saturday afternoon.

It was great to meet Redwings97 (Trent) and his wife and add a new member to the 5 gallon club :bigups

I do have a bunch of pictures from the show, but they will have to wait until tomorrow.:(

We have some special pictures for Gearhead too :D

When do you come to shows in good ole Alabammy? I'm sure there's a couple of biggies in Birmingham. I'd come just to meet the Poorboy himself. :D

right now I only go to 6 shows per year which I've been doing for many years..(some more than 20 ) it would be nice to travel and meet people like you Jared, but in reality someone has to be here to answer phones(me :D) and ship packages (Pockets :chop) ... even these 3-4 day shows that are only 2-3 hours away take a lot out of us and there is so much to catch up with when we get back.

I am trying to plan my personal vacations and get-aways (against my wife's and kids wishes) to go to places where I could meet up with some people I have been chatting with for many years... have any good beaches or water parks down your way?

So Steve how was the show and did Pocket's enjoy himself too?

It was a really good show and the turn out was incredible ... I have some pictures showing how many cars were there and also the diversity of the cars too.
Pockets had a good time, especially on pay day :lol2:

No, there's not really any tourist attractions here. :( If you came, you'd be severely disappointed vacation-wise!

That's too bad :( ... i do know that Patrick is willing to go on a road trip, and when Pockets has a bit more experience under his belt, maybe we'll be able to leave him in charge and go on a tour... my kids will probably have to older too as they get pretty upset when I'm away for just a couple days:cry:

I'm hoping a 70 Mach 1 but any Ford powered classic will do. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I must be getting old. At one time I would have been asking for pictures of the girls standing next to the 70 Mach 1. :( Hey I just noticed that my next post will be 1000. Who would have thought I had that much to say? :D

We'll find out tomorrow :notme:.....

Somehow those girls don't often appear at these shows unless they are paid
If you think 1000 is talking a lot ..... I must be a :blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla: :D

Same here Steve - It was pleasure meeting you, Pockets and Freddie (GTOJudge). It was really great talking with you guys. You guys are as down to Earth as they get (as also on these forums), which makes me feel that much better about the products that I buy from you. :rockon

Yes I did not escape leaving the car show without a 5 gallon of S&W - plus a gallon each of Bug Squash and Bold N Brite and other misc items. Poor Pockets had to carry the 5 gallon jug out to the car for me which I am sure for him, seemed like a mile away. But it was probably a 1/2 mile. Ahhh he is young - Thanks Pockets. :yourrock

For the wheels of time - I will have to meet up (and maybe work a little if needed) on Sunday. Have a motorcycle test on Saturday afternoon.

Steve - you should try a little variety and meet us for dinner (on me) at TC's in Kutztown Saturday night... (the 23rd)
