Anyone ever use this stuff??? I was thinking about giving it a try, but only if others have tried it already and were happy with the results... What do you think?

Never tried it but keep in mind that some (not all) of the newer Lexus paints do not have a clear-coat.

How much does it cost?

I once tried a BMW polish (Lusso Revitalizing Creme) that was being sold at my local BMW dealer which turned out to be a pretty good light polish. It was recommended by GeekySteve at RoadFly. It looked like Zymol's HD-Cleanse but spread and buffed off like P21S GEPC.

Link please. According to my Lexus dealer every new Lexus is clear coated and has been since 2002-2003.

I've seen quite a number of Lexus owners make posts on this website stating that Lexus cars with black onyx paint have no clear coat.

The clear coat issue is still a fun myth with Lexus. My 2002 GS300 in Black Onyx has a clear coat on it. From the reading I have done it seems 2002 and newer are clear coated, although there is the occasional person that says theirs is not.

I recently polished mine with a PC and there was no paint transfer, which would indicate a clear coat is on the car.

As far as the Lexus wax, I haven't used it. I did use a Honda Sealant on an Accord I had. Worked ok. As for the Lexus wax, give it a shot and let us know how it goes! :D

I've done '04 and '05 black LX470s and they did not have clear coats, as indicated by color transfer on my pads.

Back to the topic....

Cleans and protects, eh? Some sort of one step product.

Rebrand/Rebottled

My guess is they brand engineered the Toyota OEM wax and put it in a fancy bottle :D

Seriously though, try it and see how it is...my guess is that it is no better/no worse than an average OTC cleaner wax, but what do I know.

SS - Clear combined??? Huh?

It well documented that Lexus has chosen to not clear the Black onyx and a few other colors.

Unless there is a new type of paint system out there, single stage is just that. A color layer without a 2nd stage clear coat applied.

Please clarify if Toyota/Lexus has developed a special paint with PPG etc. that most of us here are not aware of.

From what I know is that the clear is mixed in with the paint, at least thats what everyone over at my.is say. I drive an MSM IS300, so I don't really care.

EDIT: Sorry about the misunderstanding, a misunderstanding on my part. There is clear mixed into the base of black, red, and yellow. SORRY!

I believe they stopped doing this a few years ago and are now clearcoating black paint as well.

Edit: I just confirmed this with our local Lexus bodyshop.

Well Lee, I hate to burst the bubble but they simply aren't correct as at least *some* of the cars don't have a conventional clear coat by my findings. I polished a small scratch on an '05 GX and it drew black paint.

It was mentioned above that the clear is mixed in with the paint and I have heard something that kind of goes along that route. What was told to me by a Meguiar's representative that even has an BO Lexus was that the car does have a "tinted" clear coat.

Does anyone really know?
