OCW question

I've spent a couple of weeks with OCW now, and I am happy to say that the results have actually far exceeded my expectations! This is very impressive given the fact that my expectations were actually fairly high given the reviews here combined with the fact that I have always been impressed with the Optimum products that I have tried.

On my yellow car, OCW made a very noticeable difference in terms of depth. I used it on top of UPGP. The paint was already very glossy and shiny, but the added depth of OCW was very impressive and took it to the next level. My paint now looks even wetter, and looks a mile deep.

I had asked if OCW attracts dust earlier in this thread. I can report that it absolutely does not attract dust. In fact, if anything, it seems to prevent dust attraction as well as anything else I have used, which is certainly not something I would have expected.

OCW also makes the surface of the paint very slick.

The fact that it is also very easy to use makes this a fantastic product, and it will be getting a lot of use.

I'm glad that I bought the gallon size from the DI 25% off sale! :woohoo:

Its good stuff like most of the optimum line. OPT has a great suite of products for paint protection that all play nicely together.

So when did Optimum upgraded their OCW and OID? What's the new formula all about?

OCW was upgraded about 18 months ago. The new version leaves the paint slicker and with better depth. Pretty much all I've been using on my own car because it compliments the dark grey metallic well and it is so easy to use.

I just think it does not last as close to claimed . pooped out really fast , no slick and does not stand up to a detergent was ( touchless type of wash ) . Im trying to get used to OPT stuff and I think they make nice stuff , but fall short of expectations . Especially OCW. Mainly because I live in the road salt belt of the USA . Any OPT suggestions are always welcome.

I re-apply ocw on my ride once every wash or every other wash depending if i am freeling lazy. but i really shouldnt be too lazy because it only does take an extra 10 minutes max to do the entire car and with the gallon size, i dont have to worry about running out =D

I don't use OCW expecting it to have any significant durability on its own, but it is superb at maintaining and, indeed, *enhancing* the main LSP. And it surely does make my paint slicker.

Falling short of expectations? Like I said earlier in this thread, this product exceeded my expectations despite the fact that they were already fairly high based on the positive reviews here as well as the fact that I have always been impressed with Optimum products.

:2thumbs:

I love using ONR . Their products are good , just fall short for me ( winter months especially) but it's hard to get anything to stand up to the elements here . I will order some ONR again soon and may add in a few other things to try again.

OCW is their LSP if I am correct and does say 5 months protection and I realize thats not possible here . Almost everything poops out fast .

Got ya. Of course I never base my expectations on the manufacturer's claims. I rely more on what people here say after they've used the products.

I have tried it on it's own over some Color X, for about 3 months now, and it seems to keep the paint just as slick and glossy as any other LSP I have tried. I just apply OCW more often..which only takes like 5-10 min max..

Have a try of Optimum Opti Seal for better durability
