I'm too lazy to look at the moment, but I don't recall seeing any threads about what all us "non-pro" detailers do for a living. I'll start.

My 9-5 is a service tech with Frontier Communications. We are a Telco and I deal with anything involving POTS lines, DSL, T1's, etc.....

Im the executive sous chef at a large, high profile private club. I oversee multiple restarants, cafes and a full service banquet operation. I manage a staff of 52 kitchen folks that seem to enjoy putting gray hairs on my head.

I'm a Floorcare tech. I run machines, floor scrubbers, floor polishers with 17" 20" pads, similar action as a DA. The handles come up waste high and you swing it,( swing machine ) What ever needs cleaning or polishing, carpets with a brush, hard surfaces with pads. DA's and Rotaries feel like miniature hand held versions. I also run Skyjack Lifts to clean ceilings 20' 30' high, love it way up there swaying to the music.

Intermediate Technician for a industrial maintenance company. Our company does all kinds of services, but I do the FedEx ground side. We service and repair their conveyors, buildings, you name it. Most times I'm gone a week at a time. Could be stationed in Upstate New York, Pittsburgh area, pretty much throughout PA and NY. Long hours traveling sometimes and staying in hotels during the week, but I love my job.

Customer Service Rep/Order Processor in the Sales Department of a Global Steel/Alloy Raw Material distributor.
