That's what I said :) The SiR is the Canadian version of the Si (note that I'm Canadian). It is correct that what we call the Si is the US EX.

Originally we got EBP on the SiR and the SE. The last year of that bodystyle I believe it was also available on the DX but I can't say that I've ever seen that colour on the Si.

sorry. maybe i misread what you wrote. I know the SI did come in electron blue cause i see them all the time in toronto. in fact, theres one in my driveway.:D

Fantastic blue Civics there :up

My friend has a Civic coupe (EK) which I get to detail every weekend (oh such a chore  ;) ). The colour is a lovely dark pearl metallic green, not sure on the exact colour but it rocks :D

Its the kind of colour that once it has some S100 on it, it looks like you could dive into the colour :bounce :D

Well the swirls did not come out. I will be using FI II followed by SMR to see if I can get them.

Becareful we worked the swirls with the rotary, you do not want to damage the clear. The swirls are very minor and i think they are in the paint not on it.

Shweet pic!

I have noticed one thing about pic of cars done by NY detailer.... he loves to include his bright yellow extension cord in the pics! :D

NYD...just kidding...great job! :xyxthumbs

Interesting!

That yellow cord is about 75ft and a real PIA to roll up. So i leave it out all day and wrap it up at the end of the day. I always take my pix at the end of the detail so I guess the cord is always there.

Maybe it will become my trademark.;)

We went light with the rotary, only a few passes. The clear will be fine. I am using a PC. The swirls arent in the paint, they are in the clear, surface swirls, I am sure of it. The swirls just need alot more attention then you or I could give it that day, I cant really fault you. Its going to take more than one pass, they need to be worked, they are light and should come out. I will see what I can do.

you are saying that they are in the clear, once something is IN it will be very hard to remove. You car looked fine. Don't end up trying so hard that you screw up the paint.

And dont be fooled that the PC is so safe, depending on the product you are using you can screw up the paint.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions on this forum is that the PC is so safe, I have seen people damage the paint using the pc.

Its just like everything else, knowing how to use it.

With the rotary you only do a few passes, you do not sit on the panel like you do with the PC, otherwise at 1500 rpms you will not have any paint left.

yo breakneckvtec

I was there that nite when NY Detailer did your car. I think it came out very nice. He brought out the shine in the paint nicley.

I know what you are goin through wit the scratches. They are not swirls. I have them on my 2002 silver Audi A4 thats driven only 4-6 days a month (always garaged). I bet you can only see them at nite under street light at certain angles. During the day light they are impossible to see. I have tried all types of stuff including tips from Scott Wax and NY deatailer. We came to the conclusion that they are minor scratches under the clear coat and in the base coat. That a big heavy duty job that can only be taken out by a professional body shop going under the clearcoat.

I strongly suggest you don't mess with that. Now Your car looks hot !! I assume is factory paint and you should keep it that way.

Don't let these minor things get to your head because it can turn out ugly in the long run
