NXT Xtreme Tire Shine

(Regarding NXT dressing) .....Actually I found it no more glossy than a couple of coats of Z16, or a single coat of Eagle one or original AA. I believe this is due to working product into the sidewall rather than allow it to lie of the surface. :nixweiss

Yes it does not sling if swiped on (tire detailed) and allow to dry.

OK now you have my attention Edwin!

No more glossy than 2X Z16? I might have to give it a try! I just hate that suger syrup/oily coated look that some of the OTC dressings give, just not to my taste. Is NXT water based too?

Mike,

Let me expand on my comparison. To get the full effect of the gloss level of Z16 the tire must be extreme clean, not only on the surface but also underneath. If the tire is saturated with previously applied silicone/petro based tire gels the Z16 will not displace it very well. This leads to the Z16 being tripped on or near the surface and the silicone/petro based material leeching out of the side wall (osmosis). The mixture of the two dulls (also decreases durability) the appearance of Z16. The best way I have found to draw out these oily tire dressings is by scrubbing the sidewalls with xyxlene x 3 and a final cleaning with Simple Green.

You will be amazed how nice Z16 really looks with a single coat and if you allow this coat to penerate and add another it can be pretty gloss but not greasy. One can titrate their desired level of gloss.

One point to always remember, which has been stated in previous tire dressing thread, not all tires are the same. What may work on my Michelins may not looks as nice on Yokohomas or Goodyears.

I brought this NXT Inzane on a whim with the knowledge that if I did not like it I could always use it as a fenderwell dressing. :D

I would say that NXT Inzane contains PD's (hexane and acetone)
