NXT ... true polymer sealant??

This is an inquiry not a invitation to knock said product.

For those who have used NXT, what have you used as the cure time before initial buffing?

Does it dry to haze?

Thin (like Zaino) or thick application ( read DavidB's double application technique)?

Do you think that this product would be useful as Klasse and Zaino are as a polymeric wheel protectant.

TIA

My order arrives on Monday!!! :bounce

Go to the Meguires's web site and look up the MSDS for NXT. THEN make your comments.

What good is that if the person looking at the MSDS has no idea what the ingredients are? Google searches only teach you so much.

You know what I see when I look at the ingredients list for NXT?

Solvents

Light abrasives

Silicone polymer

Carnauba

Water

Thickening agents

Warm here, I just wish the rain would stop now. Great for the last 10 days or so and now the floodgates have opened up. :(

Oh yeah? Well here all the roads are white and the car is coated in salt dust, so there ;)

Maybe this is the wrong thread, but can NXT be layered like so many of the products most of us use?

Thanks,

Brett

According to Mike Phillips, anything beyond two thin coats is wasted product.

:nixweiss I guess neither one of us will be detailing in the short term then, eh?

I will :D

I'll finish that BMW restore job this weekend and deliver it Sunday or Monday. We'll have warm sunshine at least till Wednesday. I'm hoping to do an Opel Vectra before it starts raining. (Together with the works of an order I received today of 8 graphics workstations, dual xeons, 2GB ram, etc. I also own a computer shop ;) )

Oh, and maybe this week I'll have my NXT for test :xyxthumbs

Actually, I got a call about 30 minutes ago from a regular who wants me to come out and detail his Porsche 944 tomorrow, rain or shine (HA! fat chance of shine!), so that will be a great opportunity to try out NXT (probably over VM). I'll be working in his garage and I'm not real optimistic about the rain letting up enough to back it out and take pics, but I'll keep my finger's crossed. Sunday through Tuesday are supposed to be dry, but you know how the weather guessers are.
