Here's an engine bay picture of a 2000 Jetta I detailed the other day:
My engine bay: (Metal parts were polished with Mothers Mag/Alum polish)
NXT Tech Protectant on tire: (NXT Tech Wax on wheel)
My Opinion: NXT TP and Mothers mag/alum polish are both affordable, easy to use, and produce great results. They will both continue to have a place in my detailing arsenal. :xyxthumbs
