Someone here, I can't remember who it was but he comes from a engineering background, made an interesting statement about layering and waxes.
He stated that waxes don't layer as in forming a new film layer like sealants are meant to do. Instead, applying an extra layer increases the wax density, thus creating a deeper appearance and increasing durability.
This, of course, doesn't apply to NXT paste wax as it isn't a true wax, but a synthetic sealant wax.
I don't know if it layers, but anecdotal evidence suggests that multiple layers of NXT looks better than one application.
Maybe it does layer to a point.
