NXT on orange mustang

I want to chime in on the road salt issue. I lived in Omaha for many years and now reside in Indianapolis. I have observed that Omaha has a far more extensive snow removal and road salting/brining program than Indy.

The winters are only slightly more severe in Omaha, but they have far greater per area budgets. This may provid insight to the lack of durability of NXT in Omaha.

I have noticed that SG with multiple layers holds up pretty well and I haven't tried any other sealants. My brother still lives in Omaha and is using 1Z Glanz which appears to hold up as well as SG. Carnuabas don't last more than one road salt exposure in my experience.

My guess would be that NXT is a relatively durable product, just not up against lots of salt and not to level of SG and some other sealants. I am interested to see how it holds up in Omaha summers with 100F, high humidity, lots of sun and some good thunderstorms. I never found carnaubas to be very effective in that either.

Just my observations.

I personally think there is a very noticable difference between the NXT and Z finishes.

I know some will say that it's due to the different angles of the pics, but if you scroll back and forth quickly between the pics, and look at different sections of the car you can see that there is a distinct improvement in depth, wetness and shine/gloss compared to the 'Z.'

Of course this is just my opinion...take it for what it's worth

With the two pictures, the thing that pops out the most to me is that the shot with the NXT is on a much, much clearer day. With the sun better on the NXT shot, it kinda makes the other look rather dull. The day is slightly overcast on the other picture.

Like I said, you really can't compare the two pictures but I can say both were on slightly overcast day but the NXT was shot much later in the day..

Well, the car looks great. Main thing I wonder about now is durability, and if NXT is worth me not using #20 anymore.

Me too... If the durability is good I will be using this stuff for a while...

Hard to say FOR SURE. The main fact is - that Mustang is Beautiful! The angle on the second pic certianly helps as does the Mustang lettering on the back bumper (nice contrast - cool mod)

But the fact is in the first person view point that you get. YOU can see the difference on YOUR car - that means more than a good pic (not as fun to look at ,but more factual)

Thanks for the review!:up
