NXT Booster....1st use

I picked up some NXT Booster wax last week, but I wasn't able to try it until today. Gorgeous 74* sunny day, a 5 gal bucket full of Gold Class wash water... AHHHHHHHHHHHH... Anyway back to topic. After the wash, I used the Booster with a small kitchen sponge.

It was slow going at first, but once the sponge absorbed some of the booster wax, it started working a lot better. It applied like a dream, a light spritz per panel and wipe it on ( I have to work a bit on my spritzing technique), it takes VERY LITTLE to cover a panel....VERY cost effective stuff.

I let it sit for around 1/2 hour-45 minutes (had to do the bike ride around the block thing with the kid). There were a few spots that I had applied it too thick, and I had to give it a quick wipe with the application sponge to break up the set wax. After that, it wiped right off.

Is it just me, or does the Booster Wax feel even slipperier than NXT Wax?? Stepping back for a look was actually anti-climactic...the finish looked awesome (no surprise), it was slipperier than h@ll (again no surprise).

Meguiars has another winner (Oh yeah, like that's a surprise). :bigups :bow

That does look good Don. I love the way that car seems to take on a different color with the differring light.

And yea, I know what you mean about GM's orange peel. Have it in both of our vehicles. But at least it is consistent throughout the whole vehicle.
 
i tried it yesterday, but (unfortunately) I followed the directions and sprayed it to the car. I expected it to spray and be like the qd-- Nope it splattered all over. It spreads easily, and it hazed very quickly and wiped off just as easy as regular NXT liquid wax. My results were also incredibly slick and shiny where I applied it. Zesty, the spray is supposed to be a booster- used in between regular waxings you apply this to clean car. To me this product seems like a quick wax itself. I couldnt tell if it helped my microscratches or not because I just clay/polish/waxed last week.
 
Looks nice Don, I am a fan of the booster myself. I have found that applying with a folded MF works best for me. While it may take a little more product because of the MF's ability tp absorb, I get a much thinner layer and I can spread it much quicker.

Oh yeah, I agree about the slickness. :)

I initially tried spraying it on the sponge first, but then I found I got better/more consistant results spraying it directly on the car. I can see how applying it to the applicator forst would be the best idea for tight areas.

No, the car must be clean before you use it. In this case, Meguiars didn't get confusing with the name...it's exactly what they say it is...a BOOSTER wax. You use it inbetween details to keep the slickness, gloss & protection at a maximum.
