NXT 2.0 holograming!

I've tried this wax several times and it definitely is not one of my favorites. HOWEVER, I have about half a bottle left and will use it till its finished.

I recently did a spring cleanup two days ago, washed, clayed, polished, IPA wipedown, Klasse AIO, then 2.0.

It rained today and after the rain their is smearing/holograming from the 2.0 terribly! I have applied this before with thin coats, other times with a pc, tried WOWO, let it sit for about 15-20 minutes.

No matter how I apply it, it ALWAYS leaves smearing/holograming the next day or after raining on my BLACK 2007 Pathfinder.

Anybody else have this experience and any tips to solve this annoying problem? The last few times I noticed it I did a quick wash or ONR and it was fine after. I don't have this problem with Aqua Wax, Meg's #26, KSG, 845 IW.

After you was the car. Instead of using a detail spray. Crack a bottle of cold water and put a trigger on it. Use the water as your detail spray. That will solve your streaking problem. Make sure its cold!

Was there any evidence of smearing before you applied the NXT? I'm thinking it could be a variety of things: applying too thick, temp/humidity, bonding issues due to previous product... Etc...etc. I'd try ipa'ing one panel and reapply nxt allby itself to see if that cures the problem. Let us know

I've had the same problem and just use the garden hose to lightly mist it and wipe it down. Happens to me when the surface got to hot.

Sometimes 15-20 minutes setup time is insufficient. Depending on temperature and humidity, you may need to allow 30-45 minutes for NXT to dry properly before buffing off. This seems to be the lesson folks have learned over at MOL. And of course, as you know, NXT needs to be applied sparingly.

this is why I am starting to spitshine all my cars! I get this same effect a little with BFWD, but I love the slickness of BFWD so Ill put up with it! menzerna power lock is on the way though!!!
