NXT 2.0 fillers

If I put meguiar's NXT over carnauba wax, would the NXT lose it's filling capabilities since it the carnauba would be between it and the paint? I like how the carnauba shines but i like how NXT fills swirls and lasts longer.

Your life will be a lot easier if you decide which one you like the most and just use it as often as needed.

NXT 2.0 has abrasives which removes (Old) wax so your first coat of wax is gone.

False.

NXT 2 has cleaners, not abrasives. Otherwise, we would use it as a polish.

Just use the NXT 2 and be done with it. Forget about all this layering you hear about.

I think I'll just stick with NXT. It may not be as reflective (*edit: I meant deeper, not reflective) as carnauba, but it fills and lasts. I can't polish my car (extremely thin paint) so fillers are the way to go.

Oh, I think you will find that sealants are typically more reflective than carnaubas. Carnaubas tend to have a deep look to them.

And dont expect NXT to hide *much*. Its been my experience that because it is a shiny/reflective product, it shows the defects more than a typical wax.

yeah, I meant deeper, not more reflective. When I used NXT on my white Acura, it hid a lot of swirls and has kept hiding them after ~10 washes.

Well thats good.

I guess with my usage, it has tended to show whatever defects were there a bit more than a good carnauba. Its still one of my favorite sealants, however.

Im glad you are getting the results you want with it. Seems to be a lot of NXT bashing lately.

Really? I thought everyone loved NXT?
