Not the best detail in the world, but not too shabby either.

Ok. My neighbor asked if I could help her out with a scratch on her hood. Some little girl that lives in the same culdesac decides to run her nail across the hood of her car.

Here's the process I used:

-Automagic Clay w/ FI

-DACP w/yellow LCM pad

-#9 w/ white pad

-2 coats of NXT

Well, the end result was definately 100% improvement, but I just wasn't satsified. It still just didn't look right. I think I could've done better with maybe some diamond cut compound. I just wish I had some. Anyways, here's the before and afters. What you guys think???

Indeed! Can I borrow some eggs? Can I borrow your edger? Will you take scratches off of my car? One of these things is not like the other... Excellent work. I have yet to cooperate with DACP but it is clear that the product works!

It would be great to have neighbors like you....:xyxthumbs

In the after pics there doesnt appear to be any eral flaws. Excellent work, looks sooooo much better than the before pics.

Yes, I agree that the pics are definately a huge improvement. The thing is that you can't really see the areas up close. I dunno, it just doesn't seem perfect compared to others' work. Like I want it to be comparable to something that Scottwax would do.

Also, another thing that brought me down was that my neighbor just didn't seem really impressed. I put extra effort into it so that she might come out with a "wow" or something. She just looked at it and said "Yup, definately better".

Not what I was expecting.

:( :( :( :(

Its going to take time, effort, and practice to get it to look like scottwax. Dont be discouraged, looks great.

Thats girls for you, my girl was so excited when I went to detail her car. I did EVERYTHING, came out as perfect as could be. Spent about 8 hours on it. She came out looked at it and went "nice"

I felt like running a brillo pad over the car and telling her to fix it herself

She later disclosed to me how she really felt about the job I did on the car, and acknowledged how she felt she didnt give me enough initial praise. Women are just like that when it comes to this stuff.

I don't know. My wife loves when I detail her car. I don't know if it's because black cars just look great when detailed out with a good wax or something. She make a genuine big deal out of it. She asks me to detail the car out now.........

:nixweiss Looks really good to me. I don't know that I could have done any better than you did. Be happy with the work you did.
