Garry Dean Quality!
Hey guys and gals! I apologize that I haven’t been around much lately. I have been working triple time on my new business as well as working full time running my detailing business.

It has been a rough road, but I finally launched my new website, Tuck Away Tunes - Providing a safe alternative to headphones while performing fitness and recreational activities, for my new business Tuck Away Tunes.

Now I officially have a lot on my plate.

Fortunately for Tuck Away Tunes it has been raining a lot lately so that I can get some stuff done.

My plan is to continue detailing full time, but focus on higher end details. I am sick to death of getting beat by the Florida sun every day for a $30 job. I really hope my new venture is a success!

Here is what the cycling jersey looks like.

I hope you all like it.

WOW, looks like you've progressed the initial idea quite a bit, Garry. I also wish you the best of luck with this venture. Keep pluggin'.

I know what you mean about this FL sun beating you to death!!!

Thanks guys!

I also have a sweet system for mountain bikers who wear Camelbaks comming soon.

I have no problem any cyclists here a discount!

Roadie here... Lemond Zurich, Shimano Ultegra. But I refuse to shave my legs!

Sweet! You never told me you ride. Let me know if you want a Tuck Away Tunes jersey.

I've been riding for the last 30 plus years mostly on road but do have a Gray Fish dual suspension mt bike

And yes JH and I should be in the catalog :D:D:D

Nice bike. No problem, I would put you on the website. Just buy one and take a pic of yourself with it on and online it will go.

I am trying to market it everywhere, but most of these websites want crazy money for a banner on their site.

The southern states is where I figure I will have a following year round, but we shall see!

I saw this in the newspaper today and thought of your invention

Looks like a competitor of sorts

Home - Tunebug Portable Speaker with SurfaceSound Technology

Thank you Beemerboy for your concern.

Upon looking at their website a few things come to mind...

I notice first off that their target market is anyone who wears a helmet. Tuck Away Tunes was designed to work for everyone (the moisture-wicking t-shirt specifically).

Their product requires you to run an audio cable from the top of the helmet down to wherever you are keeping your audio device. I guess they assume all cyclists have either pockets (and dont mind an annoying wire running down from their helmet) or an audio device with bluetooth.

I have gone to great lengths to reduce bulk in my product. It seems like their product would be pretty bulky. Tuck Away Tunes is streamlined to reduce size and bulk as well as being self contained.

Bluetooth is really cool technology, but I have never owned a bluetooth device that has had a 100% solid connection even most of the time. Call me old fashioned, I'm a firm believer in a wired connection.

I like that it does have its own rechargeable battery for power, but I'm sure it needs it to get sound from the back of your head to your ears. You have to worry about keeping two devices charged (your audio device and their device).

Their price point is higher than mine. That may or may not matter, who knows.

Both of our products are after the same ultimate goal, we are just going about it in different ways. You cannot please everyone, but I am trying my hardest. At least people have options.

No biggie, just some thoughts I figured I'd share.

Thanks again!

(See above)

I got to use their product first hand at Interbike a few weeks ago in Vegas and I must say that in my opinion they are no competition for me. The "specs" make the unit sound interesting, but if you heard it for yourself you would be surprised. Thats all I will say about that.

With that said, I will be launching my brand new product tonight. It is vey similar to my jersey system, but more universal. The one thing most everyone asked me was, "How can I get your system into my jersey/shirt?"

Well, I have the answer. I filed the patent applcation a couple of weeks ago and it has taken me this long to get it together and make it look pretty.

It costs me less to produce which in turn makes it less expensive for the consumer to purchase.

I have been using my new product while detailing nearly everyday and I must say, it keeps me entertained while keeping my ears open.

I have been detailing full time as well as working on Tuck Away Tunes. I have plenty of write ups to bost, but unfortunately something had to give. I will work on getting some detailing related content up shortly.

Thanks for looking!
